She later received her Master of Fine Arts in Acting from Brooklyn College and has performed Off-Broadway, on-camera in TV/Film and national network commercials/voice overs. Before embarking on The Melissa June Band, Melissa was a featured vocalist in the band, The Fylls, a folk band based in the NYC/Brooklyn area.
